Balutch

Balutch is a tribe from the eastern areas of Iran on the borders of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Balutch is originally a nomadic people, but the majority has today settled in the area's villages. Traditional carpets design consists of geometric symbols, stylized flower, pray motives or elephant foot pattern. Typical for Balutch Curtain is the wide outer table usually contains goat hair (Shirazi). Dark colors like red, blue or red-brown in contrast to the dark blue / brown / black color is dominant positions. More rarely used beige and camel. Pile is of wool and some blankets goat hair, weft and warp of wool or cotton.
